Satisfying a sweet tooth is as easy as opening a candy wrapper and taking a bite \u2013 yes, it\u2019s literally that easy. But before you go in to satisfy your candy craving, please realize that these sugary treats are really bad for your teeth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Candy to look out for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Chewy Candy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">Chewy candy isn\u2019t so terrible, but it\u2019s also far from good. The treats that fall under this category include caramel, jelly beans taffy and gummies. Although these types of candies dissolve faster than hard candy, they can get stuck in between your teeth. If this happens, you can floss or brush your teeth to make it go away. The last thing you want is sugar hanging out in the grooves of your teeth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Hard Candy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">Hard candy is the ultimate worst for your teeth. The candy that falls in this category includes jawbreakers, lollypops, suckers, and sugar crystals just to name a few. If you eat this candy, you must be extra careful. Because it can take a while to eat these treats, most people will go straight into chewing instead of sucking. When people bite, they\u2019re taking the chance of chipping or cracking their teeth. Chipped or cracked teeth can be expensive to fix, so it\u2019s best just to stay away.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Chocolate<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">While chocolate doesn\u2019t last in the mouth for too long, the sugar it contains isn\u2019t the best. The good thing about chocolate is that even if it gets stuck in your teeth, it melts very fast. Even though this happens, you should still brush and floss your teeth right after eating chocolate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Sour Candy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">Sour candy is a favorite, but it\u2019s also really bad to eat. The candies that fall into this category include Warheads, Skittles, Sour Patch Kids, etc. With their high levels of sugar and acidic nature, they\u2019re a really bad choice for your teeth. You should try to avoid this type of candy at all costs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">Even though candy is delicious, it\u2019s really something we should limit.
