When a baby is teething, and he\/she is uncomfortable, you will definitely know. For some babies, teething is unfortunately not the best experience. However, you are not helpless. There are some tips to help your baby through this process.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Most babies begin to teeth between four and seven months. The signs of teething can include:<\/p>\n

* Excessive drooling<\/p>\n

* Chewing on solid objects<\/p>\n

* Irritability or crankiness<\/p>\n

* Tender, swollen gums<\/p>\n

* Night waking<\/p>\n

* Ear pulling<\/p>\n

While some of these signs can actually be symptoms of an illness, keeping a close eye on your baby is a must. Here are some things you can do to help ease the pain:<\/p>\n

* Provide teething toys or a clean wet washcloth to provide counter pressure on the gums.<\/p>\n

* Rub the baby\u2019s gums with your clean finger or moistened gauze.<\/p>\n

* Make sure there is no excess drool lingering, as this can cause skin irritation.<\/p>\n

* Give the baby a spoon that has been chilled in the refrigerator. (Not the freezer, it can stick!)<\/p>\n

* If your baby is eating solids, give him\/her chilled food like applesauce.<\/p>\n

* Place chilled fruit inside a mesh feeder, and let your baby gnaw away.<\/p>\n
