Having white teeth is something that we all dream about. While there’s many different ways to whiten your teeth, some of us would rather do it naturally.

Devoted Family Dental has tips on how you can naturally keep your teeth sparkling:

Brush Your Teeth Right After Eating Or Drinking

Brushing right after eating or drinking is a surefire way to keep your teeth white. We understand that it can be a bit difficult to always have your toothbrush and access to a restroom, but if you do, you should definitely do it! Although most food does not stain teeth, coffee and smoking WILL cause discoloration.

Baking Soda & Hydrogen Peroxide

Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide have a lot of uses, and one is for teeth whitening! To whiten your teeth with these substances, you will mix the two together to make a paste. Put the substance on your toothbrush and brush normally.

Keep in mind, baking soda can have a sandpaper feel if you don’t add in enough hydrogen peroxide. The soda can unfortunately scrub the enamel off if the mixture isn’t properly prepared.

Coconut Oil Pulling

Coconut oil is such an amazing product. Not only can it make your skin soft and hair flawless, but it can also help whiten your teeth. All you have to do is put a spoonful of coconut oil in your mouth, and swish it between your teeth for 5 to 20 minutes. You can also add a few drops to your toothbrush and brush, or dab some coconut oil to a towel and wipe your teeth.

Strawberries

Did you know that strawberries can whiten your teeth? This delicious fruit is tasty, full of antioxidants and will keep your pearly whites looking fresh. There’s really no trick to this – just smash some strawberries and rub them on your teeth.

Lemon or Orange Peels

Lemon and orange peels are great for your tummy, and also amazing for your teeth! Using lemon or orange peels is very similar to how you would use the strawberries. Just rub either of the two on your teeth, and you’ll see a difference.

However use extreme caution, since lemons and orange peels are acidic, you should limit the use because it can break down your enamel.
